THE OASIS

Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards

Picture this—a laid-back, tropical-inspired, outdoor pavilion overlooking Seneca Lake that’s also a cool and casual wine and beer bar. Now add some hotdogs on the grill, fresh baked bread baskets, wine slushies, good-time music and live bands on Friday nights. That’s what The Oasis is all about. The Friday night band series kicks off April 12.

THE WINDMILL FARM & CRAFT MARKET

Located midway between Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake, The Windmill plays host to nearly 200 shops and craftsmen, boasting everything from farm fresh produce, to collectibles, to home and garden decor. Start your day at The Windmill with a hearty breakfast, pick up some fresh produce, then set out to explore the many shops. During a career that spanned six decades, photographer Yousuf Karsh created iconic portraits of many of the twentieth century’s most influential men and women—individuals who distinguished themselves in fields as diverse as business, medicine, entertainment, politics, and the arts. This exhibition includes 48 iconic portraits, on loan from the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery.

Corning Museum of Glass

This new exhibit will document the innovation and dexterity of artists, designers, and architects around the world working in the challenging material of glass. A global survey designed to show the breadth and depth of contemporary glassmaking, the exhibition will feature objects, installations, videos, and performances made in the last three years by 100 artists of 32 nationalities working in more than 25 countries.

Corning's Gaffer District
