The ARTS Council of the Southern Lakes in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) is pleased to announce recipients of the 2020 NYSCA Decentralization funded Community Arts, Teaching Artist, and Individual Artist grant programs. Thirty-two area artists and organizations will receive a total of $85,650 for community and school-based arts and cultural programs taking place in 2020.

For over 40 years, these grants have been made possible through Decentralization funds, public money mandated by the New York State Legislature to encourage increased participation at the local level in the state's cultural funding process. These grants enable artists and organizations to enhance the artistic and cultural climate in our communities and fulfill a vital mission of The ARTS Council of making arts and culture accessible to all!
