Chef-driven food, handcrafted cocktails, live music and fire pits in the heart of the historic Gaffer District!
CORNING, N.Y. (April 22, 2019) – The Radisson Hotel Corning is prepared to elevate the restaurant and entertainment scenes in the Gaffer District with the opening of a new stylish outdoor dining spot, Market Street Social. On Friday, May 3rd from 5 pm to 9 pm, Director of Food & Beverage, Ken Knowles and Executive Chef, David Tarr, invite the local public to toast to new beginnings at an official launch party. Hosted by WINK 106 FM’s Ally Payne, who will be broadcasting live from the event until 6:30 pm, guests will enjoy hand-crafted drink and food specials as well as exciting giveaways. In support of its dog-friendly policy, Market Street Social will also feature gourmet treats off its Pamper Your Pup menu for those who’d like to bring along their canine companions too!
“We actually tested this new outdoor concept late last season but focused on tapas,” said Knowles. “Our guests seemed to instead prefer the signature items from Grill 1-2-5 and Steuben Bar inside. Thus, we’re ready to officially launch Market Street Social this spring featuring the best of all three menus!”
Located between the hotel’s north and south buildings on Market Street just steps away from the shops and museums, Market Street Social offers seasonal al fresco dining complemented by fire pits, games and a casually-chic attitude. The patio space is open daily (weather permitting) from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm for lunch, dinner, snacks or drinks, with local musicians setting the vibe on a rotating weekly basis. As with the rest of Radisson Hotel Corning’s culinary program, Market Street Social features locally-sourced products – utilizing fresh ingredients from the surrounding Finger Lakes area in both its food and beverage programs to give guests an authentic experience. Menu examples include: jerk chicken tacos, local cheese board for two, grass fed mini burger sliders, fried calamari, fresh cut truffle fries and much more.
In addition to an everyday gathering place for couples, friends or colleagues, Market Street Social is also a special event destination. Whether it’s a private hosted reception or a public event, such as this summer’s Finger Lakes Wine Festival Pre-Event Party on June 26th, Market Street Social offers flexible seating for up to 55 people, an outdoor bar, and dedicated wait staff prepared to make memorable moments.
