Overview
All overnights will be hosted at the Elkins Horse Park, owned by the Painted Bar Stables, the Mill Creek Cabins or at the Backbone Horse Campground in the Finger Lakes National Forest.
• Elkins Horse Park, owned by the Painted Bar Stables: Field Camping with a Campfire Ring. Depending on which camping location is chosen, bathroom porta-johns or rough camping. Food is cooked by campfire. Horses are overnighted out to pasture with tack in the barn.
• Backbone Horse Camp, owned by the Finger Lakes National Forest: Campsite camping with Campfire Ring. Composting toilets. Food is cooked by campfire. Horses are overnighted tied to hitching posts with tack in the Horse Trailer or a tack tent.
• Mill Creek Cabins, a bed and breakfast where cabins are available for bunking and horses overnight in temporary paddocks. Breakfast is catered by Mill Creek. Private cabins can be reserved at extra cost.
We furnish horses, tack, food, beverages, and all camping supplies. We recommend that you bring your own sleeping bag but we do have some for loan. Ask us about joining another trip for a lesser rate.
