The Lodge at Turkey Trot Acres in Candor, New York has earned a national reputation as “America’s Premier Wild Turkey Hunting Destination”. This honor was earned by thirty years of hard work and sticking to our original game plan… To provide quality hunting, lodging and dining for our guests. We are proud of the fact that all of the hunting at Turkey Trot is the “Real Deal”. We hunt under strictly fair chase conditions, no game feeders, no high fences, or pen raised gobblers. You will find thousands of acres of prime wildlife habitat and guides that just know how to hunt!

Weddings & Receptions
We proudly offer our unique hand-crafted log cabin lodge, outstanding food service and professional staff for your wedding day. At Turkey Trot we are totally committed to making your ceremony and reception a truly memorable experience for you and your guests. We will work closely with you to plan the entire event. You are guaranteed total privacy as we only book one wedding reception per weekend. No “cookie cutter” weddings here. The Lodge is available for receptions, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners and limited overnight lodging.

Earth~Wood~Fire
Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and where there’s fire there’s pizza. Every Wednesday, all summer the staff at Turkey Trot offers two four-hour classes/day introducing the art of wood-fired cooking to our guests. In these casual hands-on lessons, students will learn to prepare and bake traditional Neapolitan style pizzas in our 900 degree ‘Forno Bravo’ brick-ovens. Folks attending our lively classes will then dine on the two classic pies that we create: Thee Margarita and Thee White Garlic along with a full ‘wood kissed’ meal. Also included are adult refreshments from local Finger Lakes wineries and breweries. The price is $125/person plus tax and gratuity (group discounts available). Class size is limited to 8-10 people.
