Country Comforts Bed & Breakfast

Country Comforts Bed and Breakfast is located in Branchport two miles north of Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes area. Our 1850’s home has been updated with four bedrooms which have private baths and air conditioning. We added a full front porch to the house, which is a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee in a rocking chair or evening glass of wine visiting with friends. In an effort to go green, we installed 75 solar panels on five poles next to the barn to supply electric energy to the bed and breakfast and barn.

If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful place to stay, you will find that at Country Comforts. While on your get-away or vacation, you may want to attend tastings at the nearby wineries that the Finger Lakes are famous for, boat and swim on Keuka Lake, ski at Bristol Mountain, explore Sonnenberg Gardens, or relax around the gardens at our B&B. We built our barn a few years ago and the second floor is quilt room/work space. If your craft group/group of friends is interested in planning an overnight escape or interested in learning a new craft, let us know and we can work with you, set up a teacher to teach a class, and help plan the details. Let us share our country setting and accommodations with you.

A full country breakfast is served each morning and created with as many local products as possible.  There are always fresh eggs used in the baking, breakfast casseroles or egg omelets from our chickens (we call them “the girls”).  Summer and Fall offer an abundance of local fruits and produce to enjoy and often the butter is fresh churned.

We love the old trades of woodworking, quilting and spinning and you will find most of the quilts and decorations are made by us.  When we built the barn we finished the second floor and it has been used for classes on quilting, cardmaking and knitting.  If you have a group that would like to stay at the B&B and have the space to spread out and enjoy crafting the weekend away or learning something new, let us know.  We can work out the details with you, set up a teacher to teach a class and make fun in exploring something new.
