To bring the Schumann Festival to a close, we include a friend of the Schumann’s, Johannes Brahms with one of his best known choral pieces, Schicksalslied “Song of Destiny,” as well as Clara Schumann’s choral works and her Piano Concerto performed by Horseheads native pianist Benjamin Pawlak. Also on this final concert is Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 “Spring.” These cheerful pieces will awaken spring within all of us and offer a delightful way to spend Mother’s Day Eve.
