About Us

Located on the West side of Seneca Lake, Fox Run is family-owned and has been making estate wines since 1989.  Fox Run Vineyards strives to make wine approachable. We believe anyone should be able to enjoy a glass of wine regardless of where they are on the wine experience spectrum. We’re proud to be a lake-friendly farmer, operating on self-generated solar-powered energy.  And we live by the motto: Drink wine, be happy.

Tasting Room & Group Policies:

• We do NOT accept or require reservations for wine tastings. All tastings are first come, first served.
• We only accept groups of 12 people of less. Please do not split larger groups to meet this requirement.
• Buses, limos, and/or vans must arrive before 2pm (this applies to all group sizes).
• The last tasting of the day is at 5:30pm

Tastings & Tours

Our tasting fee is $10 for a flight of five wines (you can choose from 4 different options: sweet, dry, red, or Rieslings).  Wine tastings are seated at our indoor tasting bar. Self-guided wine flights are also available in the café to enjoy at your own pace.  The last wine tasting each day is at 5:30pm.

Starting April 1st, elevate your tasting to a Taste Buds Flight! This flight plays on the connection between food, wine, and the 5 taste receptors – salty, sour, sweet, bitter, and umami. We’ve paired 5 preselected wines with 5 bites to awaken your senses and challenge your palate.  $20/person, no reservations required-just ask at the tasting bar!

We offer tours!  Learn the ins and outs of viticulture and winemaking with a guided, 45-minute walking tour exploring our vineyards and taking a peek inside our winemaking facility.  Tours are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 15, and free for children under 5.  We offer tours every day of the week, all year long (weather permitting). Tours go out every hour, on the hour. The first tour departs at 10 AM, and the last tour at 4 PM.

Specialty Tastings & Events

Learn more about food and wine pairing through our Food and Wine Experience! You’ll enjoy a unique, personalized tour with a light lunch focused on food and wine pairing.  Owners Scott and Ruth will join you for lunch, served in our historic barrel room—a restored dairy barn from the 1800s. Offered on Fridays, from July-Oct., at 11:30 AM.  Reservations required.

Or join us for a private VIP tour with the owner, Scott Osborn, and a tasting that includes wines from the entire Fox Run portfolio.  Additionally, Chef Brud Holland will create a special cheese and charcuterie board just for you to enjoy and pair with the wines.  This unique opportunity is a great way to get to know the real people behind the wines, and have an incredibly personalized experience in the Finger Lakes. Due to space restrictions, we are unable to schedule VIP Tours on Saturdays & Sundays until further notice.

Fox Run Cafe and wine by the glass

Our Cafe is open daily 11am-5pm (no reservations required)!  You can enjoy a delicious, locally-sourced lunch at our Cafe – all house-made.  Or feel free to grab a glass (or can!) of wine. Relax on our new front deck overlooking Seneca Lake, or on our back patio with a view of the vines.  The Cafe is open seasonally April-December.  Check out the menu!
