Michael is responsible for the production of Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards’ award winning vinifera wines and Vidal Blanc ice wine.
Michael has been Vinifera Winemaker with Hazlitt since 2010. He started as the Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards Assistant Winemaker in 2006.
Prior to his work with Hazlitt, Michael held internships with Lucas Vineyards, Pelligrini Vineyards, Sheldrake Point Winery, and Anheuser-Busch.
Michael received a Bachelor of Science in Enology and Viticulture from Cornell University and was a member of the first class in the university’s
program.
Michael resides in Ithaca, NY. His passions are good food, good spirits, and good music…which luckily can all be enjoyed at the same time.
