FINGER LAKES, N.Y. (August 25, 2016) - The Summer On Ice: Craft Beverage Festival will be held this Sunday, August 28, from 12:00-5:00pm at Standing Stone Vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake. And what a showcase of local foods, craft beverages, craft cocktails and culinary talent await!
To demonstrate that Ice-Style wines aren't just for dessert, in the Main Tent, there will be four walk around tasting stations, with foods paired with an ice-style wine: 
• Charcuterie (paired with Wagner Riesling Ice): Duck pate, sausage, pickles, salad greens with a Verjooz Dressing
• Spicy (paired with Ice Wine Sno Cones): Dano Chicken Wings, Piggery Cappicola, Thin Sliced Spicy Pork Loin 
• Cheese (paired with Wagner Vidal Ice)
• Vegetables & dips (paired with Standing Stone Chardonnay Ice)

The Main Tent will also host all five chef and mixologist demos:

3:45 Drinks with JT Stahl, NY Wine & Culinary Center, Canandaigua

In the Sessions Tent, attendees will find event sponsors Seneca Lake Wine Trail and Women for Wine Sense, Finger Lakes Chapter. At each of their areas, there will be ongoing sampling of food and sweet wines. In addition there will be two pairing sessions and one craft cocktail demo led by Donna Schlosser Long and Christine Maguire of Women for WineSense:

New this year will be the ManCave -- a stand-alone tent with Cigar Bar -- where men (and women, of course) can purchase and smoke stogies from D'Angelo Fine Cigars during the event. Then, from 4:00-5:00, FLX Garlic Steak Skewers by Chef Brud paired with a Mancavehattan -- a specially created cocktail by Finger Lakes Distilling's Brian McKenzie.
There will also be many vendor tents spread across Standing Stone's back lawn overlooking Seneca Lake:
Finger Lakes Distilling will have a tent, serving two delicious craft cocktails made from their award-winning spirits: Mule on Ice and Peach Bourbon Smash.
Wagner Valley Brewing will have a tent where they will sample a few of their craft beers and the Michelada -- which is a beer based cocktail similar to a Bloody Mary. Pretzels from Village Bakery with Chef Brud's mustards will be available for noshing.
Hazlitt Cider Tree will have a tent where they will be sampling their craft ciders along with ciders from Chateau Lafeyette and Catharine Valley. The ciders will be paired with Mini Savory Herbed Crepes and pickled apples in Verjooz and Ice WIne.
Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty and Hobart and William Smith Colleges' Fribolin Farms will also have a tent hosted by Sarah Meyer of the Finger Lakes Institute. Sarah will be representing the Finger Lakes delegate as a US Delegate to Slow Food International’s Terra Madre Salone del Gusto in Turin, Italy and will be discussing her upcoming fundraising 5-Course Wine Dinner that will feature Finger Lakes Farms Water Buffalo Tenderloin prepared by Chef Brud. Along with information, Sarah will have a fresh herb basket with Fribolin Farms Herbs. She will be sampling Brud's Homemade Pesto made from HWS Fribolin Farm basil, and handing out recipe cards for Farm-Fresh Eggplant Parmesan.

Wrapping up this food and drink filled day will be a special surprise, served in the Main Tent at 4:30.
Tickets for the event are $40 a person in advance at, or $50 at the door, with a portion of the proceeds support Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty's mission to educate and excite consumers about locally-produced foods and beverages while fostering relationships within the marketplace.
