James Molesworth, senior editor at
Wine Spectator, recently said about the Finger Lakes "If you're looking for a getaway to wine country, now is a nice time. The leaves are gone and temperatures can be chilly, but the summer and leaf-peeper crowds have faded away, so you'll get a less congested tasting experience in most of the tasting rooms. As always though, plan ahead."
