Spend the night at the National Soaring Museum! Beginning at 6:45 p.m. on Friday or Saturday night and running through 10 a.m. the following day, the program includes several educational activities, snacks, and breakfast. Spend the night learning about aeronautics, aviation history, glider design and construction, and visit the Harris Hill Soaring Corporation’s sailplane hangar in the morning. Suitable for children ages 7-14. The National Soaring Museum is the only museum dedicated to motorless flight in the United States. Come see decades of local aviation history on Harris Hill, from early gliders to high-performance sailplanes used in national and international soaring contests today. Winter Hours: November - December: 7 days a week, 10 AM - 5 PM January - February: Mon - Fri, 10 AM - 5 PM March: 7 days a week, 10 AM - 5 PM

Before you fly at the glider field stroll down to the National Soaring Museum to view the beautiful, finely-crafted sailplanes that trace the history of motorless flight from its founding right here on Harris Hill in the 1930s to the present day. Watch the gliders take off and land from the air conditioned Schweizer Gallery. See a movie that explains your soaring flight experience. Practice flying with our simulators. Books, sodas, bottled water and souvenirs available in the Windrider Gift Shop. Open 10 a.m. to 5 daily (closed weekends January and February). Admission: $7.50 adults; $4.50 youth; free for children six and under.
