The Seneca Lodge has grown up with the Village of Watkins Glen. The main lodge was built in time for the first Grand Prix in The Glen, in 1948... the first post WWII road race in America. The Lodge's founder, Don Brubaker, helped bring the races and archery competitions to the area.

The Brubaker family still runs the resort today, providing friendly, comfortable accommodations and relaxation for guests who come back year after year.

In the Tavern Room, rest awhile at the bar and take in the history of racing in Watkins Glen. The bartenders are quick to serve up a beer, conversation and a $2 bill. Behind the bar, laurel wreaths from the Formula 1 races of the 1970s hang from hundreds of arrows shot into the wall by ace archers who frequent the lodge for archery championships. Suspended from the ceiling are Tires from NASCAR champions. The Tavern Room has long been a hangout of racing mechanics - if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a celebrity.

Also enjoy casual American cuisine in the dining room and stay overnight in one of our cabins, a-frames, or motel rooms.
