Jeremy and Donna, from central Pennsylvania, recently wrote of their weekend at Rosemary’s Legacy. “Thank you for the wonderful stay. It is so great to stay somewhere that you are made to feel at home. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of history with us.” Rosemary’s Legacy, located in the scenic village of Montour Falls, is one of the few remaining truly beautiful old homes in the Finger Lakes area. Built in the 1850’s and purchased in 1949 by Tony and Rosemary Pulos, Rosemary’s Legacy has a “home away from home” feel like few homes you will ever visit. Rosemary’s Legacy was the childhood home of co-owner John Pulos. His wife, Maryalice, spent countless hours with Rosemary, over tea, discussing family and local history. Tony was the village’s mayor, the county’s democratic chairman, and the long-time president of the local hospital board. The road leading to the hospital now bears his name. Rosemary was a stay at home mom who had a gift for decorating and created an exceptionally elegant and charming ambiance for her family to enjoy. John and Maryalice decided to leave the home exactly as she had left it. Rosemary’s Legacy has 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms, a spacious living room, and many other nooks and rooms to sit, relax, or work in with complete privacy. The house has a fully stocked kitchen and laundry and is totally wireless. It is used as both a Bed & Breakfast and as a vacation rental. John and Maryalice also own a small catering company, Table for Two, and are gourmet chefs. Rosemary’s Legacy features many packages which include, not only breakfast, but five-course gourmet dinners served in The Legacy’s dining room. The secluded pool in the backyard is surrounded by the beautifully manicured grounds and gardens. The famed Che-qua-ga Falls are but a few steps from The Legacy’s front door. Historic Watkins Glen International Race Track is a very short drive away – you can hear the cars’ engines from the back yard. The Village of Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake is a five minute drive, as is the first of the 40 plus Seneca Lake wineries. First opened in July, 2008, Rosemary’s Legacy has already gained a reputation for total relaxation in a beautiful setting. John and Maryalice are the perfect innkeepers, looking after your every need. Their knowledge of the area, its attractions, and people, is unparalleled.
