Hendy Hollow Organic Farm is an 80 acre farm located in Pine City, New York, which is between Elmira and Corning, New York. We grow over 35+ different crops, from small berries to heirloom tomatoes to 7 varieties of garlic. We also grow a lot of onions varieties. Even though the farm is small, you would never know it from the tremendous amount of work required in season. We are constantly analyzing what we plant, to come up with just the right mix of products that grow well in our soil, sell for a decent price, and enjoyable to grow. Since our inception, Hendy Hollow Organic Farm has used Organic and Sustainable practices. We use compost, cover crops, green manure and mulch to build our soil. To us, the farm is its own ecosystem, with nature thriving among fields, ponds, streams, forest and wetlands. We practice strict crop rotation to diminish disease and pest pressure. We do not use synthetic inputs, such as synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). We are Certified Organic and inspected annually by NOFA-NY Certified Organic, LLC. Our end goal is to be good caretakers of the land, and leave it in far better shape than we found it. We view our role here as stewards of this beautiful ecosystem, and do all we can to protect the land so that this will also be enjoyed by future generations.
