Founded in 1967 the museum’s purpose is to educate the public on the American wine industry. The museum is dedicated to Walter S. Taylor's father Greyton Hoyt Taylor who was integral figure in the the New York State wine industry. The museum houses a comprehensive selection of vintage winemaking equipment, rare bottles and artifacts. Our replica coopers shop has an outstanding collection of Coopers tools and unique wine barrels along with a film on the art of barrel making. Also housing the Walter S. Taylor Gallery, we further his creative spirit by showcasing his prolific and eclectic catalog. With over 200 pieces of work from the brush of one of the most creative artists in New York State the gallery is not to be missed. Other exhibits include: Prohibition-era memorabilia, historic artifacts from the early NY wine and grape industry and a massive collection of glassware that includes various Presidential wine glasses.
