The Carder Steuben Glass Shop LLC (CSGS) offers a large selection of fine art glass designed and made by Frederick Carder. Carder’s inspiration came from his times and his experiences ranging from the Italianate and Asian influences of the late Victorian period to art Nuevo, art deco and the modern period during which this Centurion continued his devotion to glass art work. The CSGS owes its existence to the work of Robert Rockwell II, Mr. Carder’s friend, golf partner and a dedicated collector of western art and Mr. Carder’s glass. Mr. Rockwell’s vast knowledge is the foundation on which the collections of the CSGS were gathered and he has given to us and our customers as much of his knowledge as we have been able to absorb. Carder's Steuben glass evolved from many of the same inspirations that other’s of his time experienced and those who followed him copied through the first half of the twentieth century. It is often mislabeled and misidentified with that of other producers. The CSGS is an expert in identifying Carder Steuben glass and fully guarantees the authenticity of all its merchandise, including the glass of other manufacturers. We hope you enjoy viewing a small part of our collection on this web-site and that your interest in this fine art form is inspired. If we can be of service to you in starting or enhancing your collection, will you please contact us by email or telephone.
