The GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series return to Watkins Glen International for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend June 28-30, 2013. Once again, the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen will be a part of GRAND-AM’s North American Endurance Championship.

“Premier sports car racing continues to have a home at Watkins Glen International as GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge return,” Michael Printup, president of Watkins Glen International said. “We are eager to see what the 2013 race season holds for fans as we start our season with the GRAND-AM Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen and Continental Tire 150 at The Glen.”

The 32nd running of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race will be held on Sunday, June 30. The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series Continental Tire 150 at The Glen will take place on Saturday, June 29. Start times will be announced at a later date.

The Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend provides fans with one of the most family-friendly and accessible events in all of motorsports. Fans can take advantage of unparalleled access to the garage and paddock as well as to pre-race ceremonies and Gatorade Victory Lane. Kids and teens 18 and under are FREE with an adult and tickets for the weekend start at just $50.

GRAND-AM Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) recently announced the sports car racing entities will combine in 2014.

Joao Barbosa and Darren Law piloted their No. 9 Action Express Corvette to their second Daytona Prototype victory of the season in the 2012 Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. Robin Liddell and Jon Edwards took home the first GT victory of their season in their No. 57 Stevenson Auto Group Chevrolet Camaro endurance race.

Matt Plumb took the lead on Lap 43 of the 2012 Continental Tire 150 with 45 minutes remaining to capture the second-consecutive victory for the No. 13 Rum Bum Racing Porsche Carrera. Michael Valiante and Chad Gilsinger took the top spot in the ST battle in their No. 93 HART Honda Civic Si.

Renewal customers have the best opportunity to save in 2013 and will receive their forms in October. Public ticket sales begin December 3.
