8:42 a.m. – Woke up to an amazing organic culinary treat created by a friendly innkeeper at a local B&B.
11:15 a.m. – Became acclimated with the art of cheese making and brilliant taste of farm-fresh cheese. There’s nothing quite like meeting your cheese maker!
12:28 p.m. – I’m pretty sure I just sampled a pint of paradise… the Black Walnut Nut Brown Ale from a downtown brewery is delish!
12:55 p.m. - Enjoyed a marinated and charbroiled chicken breast, melted extra sharp Finger Lakes cheddar and sliced apple served with leaf lettuce and locally produced mango mustard chutney on a homemade malt roll. Yum!
1:31 p.m. – Relished the moment my taste buds experienced the exotic tropical and citrus fruit flavors of a Finger Lakes Dry Riesling.
2:50 p.m. – It doesn’t get better! Stopped by a roadside farm stand and bought fresh-picked berries, so good!
3:47 p.m. – Sweet treat! Sat at a picnic table and enjoyed a conversation and an ice cream cone from a local creamery. This is what vacation is all about!
7:18 p.m. – Love at first sight! I fell in love with the 1920’s Swing-Beam Threshing Barn at a local winery. From their in-house restaurant, the warm bitter-sweet chocolate torte and ice wine were a heavenly after dinner delight.
9:21 p.m. – Sat on the deck under the stars and sipped a martini made with local gin. Planning another delicious day tomorrow!
