The Windmill is the first and friendliest farm and craft market in upstate New York, located right in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region. Midway between Penn Yan and Dundee on NY Route 14A, The Windmill has become a premier tourist attraction, with a weekly attendance exceeding 8,000 - 10,000 people. Beginning with roughly 100 vendors, The Windmill serves as an outlet for local producers and craftsmen. The Windmill plays host to nearly 200 shops and craftsmen, boasting everything from farm fresh produce to an on-site Acupuncture, you're sure to find something for everyone. Many folks start the day at The Windmill with a hearty breakfast, pick up some fresh produce then set out to explore the many shops. Later, enjoy a horse and buggy ride, take in a free show, finally have a relaxing lunch in our mini pine tree forest.

Located in the “heart of it all” and situated on 44 tree lined acres, The Windmill Farm & Craft Market is nestled in the rolling hills of Upstate New York. Just south of Penn Yan on State Route 14A and bordered by Keuka and Seneca Lakes, the scenic surroundings are almost unimaginable. Beginning over 30 years ago with one man’s dream, a bulldozer, volunteers, a barn raising and selling hot dogs, The Windmill is growing stronger than ever.

The Windmill is host to over 175 indoor and outdoor shops filled with hand crafted items too numerous to count. You will discover great food, tasty treats, fresh produce, flowers, custom cabinetry, furniture, fashion, healthy choices, local wineries, artistry, micro brews, entertainment, hands on activities and so much more. It is recommended that groups allow two to three hours at The Windmill but a whole day can easily be spent in leisurely shopping, relaxing to live entertainment, watching crafters create or just having fun with family and friends. The Windmill offers many onsite dining options from full restaurants to unending snack options including fresh squeezed lemonade, pierogis, bloomin’ onions, kettle corn, tacos, ice cream and soft custard, sno-cones, cotton candy, popcorn and peanuts, pizza, fudge, soft pretzels, local cheeses, a chicken barbecue, and coffee. With six wineries, a brewery and a distillery, The Windmill is a one stop destination for tastings. During the 2021 season The Windmill has added almost a dozen new vendors which offer a diverse selection of items, many of them handcrafted!

Begin your day with them at 8:00 a.m. and stay until they close at 4:30 p.m. Admission is always Free!

Opening Day is the Last Saturday in April and the season Ends the last Saturday in November. The Windmill is also open Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day Columbus Day and Black Friday.
