Get outdoors and get active with your family and friends! Challenges will include hula hoops, mini hurdles, pool noodle crawl, push-ups, cones, balance beam and more… plus, get to see some of our active and athletic animals show off their skills! This will be outside in the field and along the children’s trail. Aimed for children K-5th grade.

Kids get popsicles at the finish!

$3 per child. Pre-registration required. Minimum of 10 children to have the event and a cap of 100 children. (Grown ups are free.) Payments must be made when you register. We cannot accept payments or walk-ins the day of the event.

Nine miles of scenic trails in the Finger Lakes area that begin at the Nature Center allow you to experience the natural beauty of the Chemung Valley first-hand. We offer hiking year-round and winter activities including cross-country skiing and snowshoe rentals. Our 12,000 square foot building features a museum with 43 species of live animals, interactive exhibits and a comfortable library for bird-watching and reading. Looking for a place to gather? Our building also offers 2 meeting rooms for corporate meetings and events, retreats, wedding receptions and even Birthday parties!

Tanglewood is the local leader in environmental education; serving over 14,000 children in the Southern Tier of NY and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. We offer programs that include live animal presentations, outdoor experiences and hands-on activities. Our programs include school field trips, scouting groups, spring and summer camps and weekend activities for children.
