More Information

Continuing this spirited tradition at The Rockwell Museum, The Gingerbread Invitational is an artful competition and exhibition with a focus on historic landmarks and architecture of Corning and the surrounding region – in gingerbread! Teams of gingerbread enthusiasts and community members like you have built our region’s beloved parks, community centers, museums and more! Find these amazing creations scattered throughout The Rockwell November 24 through December 31. An opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on November 30. With the help of a panel of judges, we’ll award First-, Second-, and Third-place prizes, then guests will launch public voting for the Community Choice Award (winner announced in January 5, 2018). Come dressed in your favorite sweater for sweet treats and holiday fun!

Come experience our collection of art about America that tells the story of the American experience! The diverse collection includes a mix of contemporary Native American art with traditional bronze sculptures, landscape paintings and other works that embody America. There are many reasons why you should bring your family to experience The Rockwell. We offer guided tours that you can book as a group, or you are welcome to explore the Museum on your own. Open daily, The Rockwell welcomes the young and the young-at-heart to explore Art About America. From Art Hunts to our NEW Family Exploration Studio, the museum is designed to make art accessible to kids, and inspire an appreciation for art at a young age. Kids love our activities, and parents become gallery experts to guide their families through the story of art throughout America. Young museum-goers will adore the opportunity to explore on their own. Housed in the beautifully restored 19th century Old City Hall building Historic Old City Hall in Corning, New York, The Rockwell lays at the heart of the greater Finger Lakes fine arts community.
