The mission of Waterman Conservation Education Center is to promote conservation education and environmental literacy. We serve our members, the citizens of the Twin Tiers of New York State and Pennsylvania, and all visitors to our wildlife refuge system.

Waterman's main site on Hilton Road houses an interpretive center with a museum, live animal residents, a reference library, gift shop, educational displays, classroom space and restrooms, all of which are open to the public.

Come explore the trails, wetland preserve, the 112 acre Hiawatha Island, woodlands, meadows, a stream and gorge, and beautiful scenery.
