Chamberlain Acres Garden Center & Florist

Our nursery is located on 3 1/2 acres in Elmira, New York and cannot be viewed from the road. A large Victorian home with gardens flanked on both sides hides the treasure behind. When you drive into our driveway, follow the stone driveway that leads beyond the house. The nursery opens up into a large display area with thousands of potted perennials and shrubs surrounded by trees and a large parking lot and display gardens. The nursery appears an oasis in the middle of town, feeling as though you are in the countryside. You enter our driveway on Broadway and exit on Chamberlain Street.

Our goal is to be a nursery that can sell you plants for all seasons, all the time. We don't wish to compete with the big box stores nor do we try too. We choose to have a knowledgeable staff that will wait on you and answer any questions you might have. We rely on healthy plants and friendly service to keep our customers coming back. If we don't have something you are looking for, please ask and we will see what we can do to get it for you.

Our displays change often because we are always updating our inventory. It is worth the trip to come back through out the season to see what is new. It's nice to just stop by and walk the gardens, listen to the birds and see the butterflies.

The majority of our plants are 'finished' plants and are over-wintered outside in our nursery. This means you can plant them as early as your soil can be worked. It is not necessary to wait for 'frost free' dates to plant in the spring. Fall is a great time to plant and the extra root growth the plants develop during this time will be substantial, giving the plants a tremendous head start.

We also now carry annuals in the spring and mums and pumpkins in the fall!
