Bust out of the house with your family for pancakes, guided hike (on snowshoes, fingers crossed!), and then come warm up by the fireside with hot cocoa and an animal show with our cuddliest critters!

Pre-registration is required. Registration is capped at 80.

  • Pancakes are served from 10am-10:45am. 
  • Guided hike departs at 10:45am. 
  • DIY scavenger hunt around the museum from 10am-11:30am.
  • Reunite by the fireplace to dry off and enjoy hot cocoa with an animal show at 11:30!

Remember: we live in upstate New York, where the weather can be unpredictable... we will update our website and facebook by 8am the morning of the breakfast!

Member pricing: $15 for the whole family (however many that is!)

Non-member pricing: $20 for the whole family.

Ticket price includes food, animal show, and guided hike (with snowshoes!)

Nine miles of scenic trails in the Finger Lakes area that begin at the Nature Center allow you to experience the natural beauty of the Chemung Valley first-hand. We offer hiking year-round and winter activities including cross-country skiing and snowshoe rentals. Our 12,000 square foot building features a museum with 43 species of live animals, interactive exhibits and a comfortable library for bird-watching and reading. Looking for a place to gather? Our building also offers 2 meeting rooms for corporate meetings and events, retreats, wedding receptions and even Birthday parties!

Tanglewood is the local leader in environmental education; serving over 14,000 children in the Southern Tier of NY and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. We offer programs that include live animal presentations, outdoor experiences and hands-on activities. Our programs include school field trips, scouting groups, spring and summer camps and weekend activities for children.
