Is there any better way to kick off GlassFest weekend than with a high-energy, can’t-miss 2300°? We’ll see you at the Museum as we open what is sure to be a fantastic GlassFest weekend. At 2300° Fahrenheit, hot glass gets interesting—and so do things at The Corning Museum of Glass. Enjoy glassmaking demonstrations, live music, and great food and drink. Free and open to the public. 2300° Museum Shops Sale Take 23% off your purchase in the Museum Shops, beginning at 5 pm through the event. Offer valid on all non-sale items. Hot Food and Cold Drinks Round Out the Night Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks are available. Heartier fare is also available for purchase. Free shuttle bus service from the Museum’s I-86 parking lot is available. Make a Night of It! From children looking for an adventure to artists looking for inspiration, there’s something for everyone at The Corning Museum of Glass. Explore 3,500 years of glassmaking history in the world’s largest collection of glass, featuring 45,000 pieces of classic and contemporary glass art. At the Hot Glass Show, watch live, narrated, glassmaking demonstrations, and see master glassblowers create stunning pieces before your eyes. Flameworking, Optical Fiber, and Glassbreaking Demos are also offered throughout the day. The only thing better than watching the wonder of glassmaking is trying it yourself! Make Your Own Glass in short, daily workshops: choose from fused picture frames and suncatchers, sandblasted drinking glasses, flameworked beads, pulled-glass flowers or delicate blown ornaments. Get hands-on with the science of glass at Do It! stations in the Innovation Center. Best of all, kids and teens 17 and under are free; adult admission is $19.50. AAA/CAA, Military, Student, and 55+ receive a 15% discount. Local residents receive a 50% discount. Open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, the Museum is open until 8:00 pm.
