With over 100 wineries in the region it’s easy to assume that most activities in the Finger Lakes are for wine drinkers. That is where you’d be wrong, the Finger Lakes have plenty of incredible activities from museums to the outdoors that don’t involve wine or drinking. Check out these 6 activities that prove that the Finger Lakes have much more to offer than wineries and vineyards.


Chemung County

• July 2: Fireworks following the Elmira Pioneers vs. Victor Railriders game at Dunn Field. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

• July 3: Eldridge Park Picnic & Pops Concert, Elmira. 5-10 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Free bus shuttle from Wegmans parking lot. Handicapped parking entrance (only) is off Woodlawn Avenue

Schuyler County

• July 3: Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce and Cayuga Health Systems will host free fireworks show at Clute Memorial Park, Watkins Glen, at south end
