WATKINS GLEN, NY (July 27, 2012)– Fans of the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese can mark their calendars for the 2013 edition. Watkins Glen International will welcome wineries, musicians, regional chefs, food and craft vendors July 12-14 for the 17th Finger Lakes Wine Festival next season.
The 2012 edition of the Finger Lakes Wine Festival received positive reviews from guests, wineries and vendors. Fans expressed their appreciation for our customer service and the joy of bringing new friends to experience the Festival. Named one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the American Bus Association in 2011 and 2012, fans who elected to take a bus to this year’s Finger Lakes Wine Festival valued the ability to safely enjoy all the Festival has to offer without worrying about who will drive home.
The popularity of camping was evident this year with more guests staying at Watkins Glen International throughout the weekend and making Friday’s Yancey’s Fancy Launch of The Lakes part of their weekend. Tasters added speed to their 2012 experience and will be able to do so next year with WGI Pace Car rides around the famed road course. Culinary classes and cooking demonstrations will continue to be a significant portion of the overall Festival experience for guests.
The Glen will release details regarding additional elements that routinely sell out including, The RIEDEL Experience, Great Western Breakfasts and the Tasters’ Banquet as they become available. Those interested in an upscale, VIP experience, may take advantage of the RIEDEL Experience, in its fourth year come 2013.
Tickets for the 2013 season at Watkins Glen International, including the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese (July 12-14) will go on sale in December. Renewals will take place in November. Gift certificates, tickets and track merchandise are available for purchase at The Shop located at 2 North Franklin Street in Watkins Glen.
