DUNDEE, N.Y. (January 4, 2016) – Veraisons Restaurant at the Inn at Glenora Wine Cellars is pleased to announce its first wine pairing dinner of 2016, Twirl the World, hosted by David Furer, Advanced Sommelier and International Wine Writer, in collaboration with Nancy Peach, Master of Wine student and Importer of German wines.
The dinner will take place January 16th, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. and will feature four courses, prepared by Executive Chef Orlando Rodriguez, accompanied by eight expertly paired wines. Each course will feature two wines; one from Glenora and another from either Germany or France, offering a comparison of the varying styles and terroirs.
Furer and Peach will speak about the French and German wines, while Winemaker Steve DiFrancesco will do the same for Glenora’s wines. At the conclusion of the meal, Chef Orlando will share his process of menu writing and how he came to pair each dish to complement the wines.
Menu highlights include Carrot Ginger Soup, an Arugula Salad with local chevre and an elder flower vinaigrette, Pan Roasted Duck Magret with romanesco and elderberry jam and Riesling Olive Oil Cake for dessert.
