WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 9, 2017) – In addition to the tasting and entertainment-filled weekend of the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese, ‘The Glen Club’ takes center stage on the evening of Saturday, July 15.
The Taster’s Banquet will conclude the first day of the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese at ‘The Glen Club.’ Featuring a 4-course meal prepared by chefs from the New York Wine & Culinary Center, there will also be a variety of wines to sample and pair with each meal. In addition to delicious food and drink, regional experts from Women for WineSense will be in attendance to offer their insights and expertise when it comes to Finger Lakes wines.
The four courses being prepared by the New York Wine & Culinary Center are as follows:
Grilled asparagus salad with old grey mare cheese, cured egg yolk, frisée and arugula, black olive vinaigrette
Pan seared scallop with compressed watermelon, tomato and crispy prosciutto
Buttermilk chicken breast with confit chicken thighs, natural chicken jus, patty pan squash and smoked potatoes
Grilled sponge cake, whipped ricotta, strawberry consommé and macerated berries
Doors for the Taster’s Banquet will open at 5:30 p.m. An admission ticket to the Wine Festival is NOT required for entry.
