CORNING, N.Y. (November 13, 2015) — On Veteran's Day 2015, the staff at Radisson Hotel Corning decided to give back by not only donating their time, but also by presenting the Food Bank of the Southern Tier with a generous check (see image below). The hotel staff volunteered at the Food Bank helping fill back packs for the BackPack Program™. By the end of the evening, the staff helped to fill over 800 back packs that will be given to local families in need.

Radisson Hotel Corning has been making a generous donation to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier for  a few years. The idea came about when staff realized how much paper was being used to send holiday cards. Instead of sending traditional holiday cards, the staff opted to go green and send a holiday e-card and give back to the community with a monetary donation. "Part of being a responsible business is not only going green wherever possible, but also by giving back. We had a lot of fun helping pack the food for the Back Pack Program™ and look forward to helping out in the future" stated Michele Donegan, General Manager of Radisson Hotel Corning.
